Eddy Current Testing of Rods by Means of a Rotor System
The inspection system is based on a basic frame, which integrates drive rollers for rod transport by default. It is designed for hosting several test stations, so the eddy current rotor system EC-130, a ULAS test system for material sorting, a ULAD test tsystem with differental probe and magnetising yoke, but also an ultrasonic system (optional). The test stations are mounted on motorized support tables (moveable horizontally and vertically). The rotor EC-130 is adjustable to the rod geometry (diameter range: 30 ... 130 mm). The high rotational speed (max. 3000 rpm) allows transport speeds of up to 2 m/min while maintaining a gapless surface scan.
